The combination of creativity and logic was what attracted me to architecture. I like the variety that my role offers each day meeting different people and working on new challenges.

Another passion of mine is illustration and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to illustrate a number of children's books.

My role focuses on management within the office and of multiple design projects. My experience includes a range of large complex schemes for the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors and I have gained a particularly detailed understanding of the planning process, its regulations and timeframes.

Architecture is no doubt a demanding career. Juggling this with two young children has been and still is challenging but extremely rewarding.

With determination and drive you can achieve what you want regardless of your gender. I have had two promotions alongside having my children now aged 7 and 2 and I hope I can inspire others to pursue a career in this field.
