I studied architecture at the Architectural Association and got my first taste of professional experience at Zaha Hadid Architects. I met my business partners whilst working at Ben Adams Architects and we set up KAP Studios together in 2019. We work in Los Angeles and London, on projects of all scales raning from masterplans to individual houses for private clients.

The role of an architect can be very wide-ranging which is incredibly appealing. I forged a path that focuses on early stage conceptual design and I love that I get to work both on really large projects for developers as well as individual houses for people like you and me.

As a practice co-founder, I also spend a lot of time focused on internal managment issues to do with business development, finance and staff mentorship. This puts our architectural work into perspective and has helped me develop a management skillset which I’ve always loved engaging with.

I’ve been really lucky to have strong female role- models in the industry from the very beginning - starting with female leaders at Zaha Hadid Architects and through to seeing my colleagues thrive at Ben Adams Architects which has extremely good female representation at senior levels. Both my business partners at KAP Studios are male and I don’t think I really even registered that as a point of difference between us - it’s all about finding people with compatible skillsets and shared ambitions.
